The intake

An interview, not a form.

PACT asks what a careful lawyer would ask — plain English, one question at a time, both generations at the table. Your answers select from the versioned clause library. The assistant explains, but it never writes a word of your agreement.

  • —Plain-language explanations of every concept it raises
  • —Flags circumstances that deserve a lawyer's review
  • —Confirms a structured summary before anything is drafted

Lawyer review

When it needs a lawyer, it gets one.

Some matters shouldn't be drafted automatically — money from a company or trust, a bank gift letter, security over a property. When PACT spots one, it refers the matter to a lawyer at our independent panel law practice, who reviews it before anyone signs. Their name goes at the foot of the page, not ours, because the review is theirs.

Questions

Asked, answered.

Does PACT lend money or handle the transfer?+

No — never. PACT documents the loan your family has already decided to make. The money moves directly between your own bank accounts, and repayments do too. PACT records them; it doesn't touch them.

Why isn't a bank transfer and a text message enough?+

Because years later, the question is rarely "did the money move?" — it's "was it a loan or a gift?". A transfer with no agreement can be treated as a gift when a relationship ends, an estate is divided, or a pension is assessed. A signed agreement plus a repayment record is the evidence that answers the question.

Who writes the agreement?+

An approved library. Every clause in a PACT agreement comes from a versioned library reviewed and approved by an independent panel law practice. Your answers select which clauses apply — the AI assistant explains and asks questions, but it never drafts a word of the document.

What if my situation is more complicated?+

Most family loans are straightforward, and PACT drafts them end to end. If your answers raise something that genuinely needs a lawyer's eyes — money from a company or trust, a bank gift letter, securing the loan against property — PACT flags it and refers the matter to our independent panel law practice for review before anything is signed, rather than drafting it automatically. There's nothing extra to pay to be referred.

What happens after everyone signs?+

PACT stores the executed agreement and a certificate of execution in your vault, then opens the repayment ledger. Either party records a repayment, the other confirms it, and the balance keeps itself. Twelve months is included; after that the ledger continues from $5 a month.

Can we change the terms later?+

Yes. Payment holidays, amount changes, early repayment — variations are guided flows that produce a signed variation document from the same clause library, and the schedule updates with the history preserved.

Make it official.

Ten minutes of plain questions. A document your family can rely on for decades.
